Time to Go Home

Today we got an early dismal from the hospital and got to head home. Daddy and Alexandra took a nap in the morning while I was in the shower. Oma was going to be staying with us for a few days to help out. We packed up all the flowers and gifts from the hospital and then got escorted out in a wheelchair. I said it was not necessary, but they said it was the rules. Technically I am not supposed to lift anything heavier than 5 pounds for the first week - but that means no lifting my own baby - and that was not going to happen. I am a strong stubborn German - I can do this!
We got home and I walked in first to greet Maverick. Since I had not seen him in a few days, it was important to say our hello before we introduce Alexandra to him. We slowly brought her in, set the carrier on the counter and he was sniffing around. Maverick was very gentle with her, but at the same time - a little nervous when "that thing" would start to cry. The first day at home was a little stressful, but nothing like being in your own home.
